The Coffee Sock and I first crossed paths while I was doing some volunteer work in East Timor (official name Timor-Leste). East Timor is an amazing place and if you haven’t heard of it you can find out more HERE. I remember before setting out on my journey to East Timor I was a little anxious about how I would feed my coffee addition. I packed a plunger in my luggage, but when I arrived I opened by bag to discover the glass smashed! Boo coffee plunger. Hearing of my crisis one of my new friends swiftly introduced me to the cotton coffee sock. I must admit at first I had my doubts; - Would it taste like cotton? - It looks dirty! - Is it hygienic? But I tasted the coffee and it was good. Really good! So I quickly went out and purchased my very first coffee sock. Yes it did look dirty after a few uses but that is just the coffee oils staining the cotton. Now it has been over 3 years and not a day goes by when I don’t use my Coffee Sock at least 3 times a day! by Jason (aka Coffee Sock Man) I have always enjoyed great coffee. I still remember my first cup when I was a teenager….the buzz and the nasty instant coffee taste! ![]() Oh how things have progressed….as I got older I cut back from three sugars to one and then a few years later gave up sugar altogether. Then I tried it without milk but for a long time is was too strong for me without milk. But now at 31 years old the thought of my coffee with sugar makes me feel ill! I love the rich, strong, full bodied taste of fresh well brewed coffee. Life without coffee for me would not be life at all. Great coffee is an essential ingredient to my life single day. I would love to hear about your great coffee journey - (Jason@CoffeeSockCompany.com) |
